As soon as you log in to Digistore24, you’ll be directed to the backoffice. Here you can adjust all the settings for your business, manage your data and view your statistics.
To switch between the affiliate view and the vendor view, click on “View” in the black menu bar at the top of the page, and then select the view you want from the dropdown.
At the top of the page there is a black menu bar - the header menu - with the following options:
Here you can access your personal account settings. Manage your account data such as your home address, your password or your tax number. You will also find your thank you page key here.
Here you can switch between the affiliate view and the vendor view – depending on whether you have registered as a vendor and affiliate or just as a vendor. If you are just registered as an affiliate, you can only select the affiliate view here.If you are an affiliate on Digistore24 and would like to become a vendor later on, you can only do this by sending an email to our support: firstname.lastname@example.org
You can log out of Digistore24 here.
Choose between German and English.
Here you will find the Digistore24 documentation, the help and information section where you currently are.
The main menu is directly under the header menu on the right-hand side. In the vendor view you will see the menu items: Dashboard, Marketplace, Account, Reports and Settings. The functions that are available here and the settings you can adjust are explained in detail in the following.
After you log in, you first land on your personal dashboard at Digistore24. Here we provide you with an overview of the current status of your business and display important key figures for you.
Please note that your dashboard will look different depending on whether you are in vendor view or affiliate view. In the vendor view, there are the following key figures.
The key figures on your dashboard
The key figure initial sales specifies the gross amount of sales of your initial products. Add-ons1 are also included in these gross sales because these can be selected additionally on your initial product’s order form. However, revenue from upsell sales or subscription/installment payments are not included.
The key figure upsells shows the gross amount of sales of your upsell products. Unlike add-ons, upsells2 are offered to the customers after they’ve completed your initial product’s order form. The gross sales from so-called downsells3 are included here because a downsell is technically the same as an upsell.
The key figure promoclicks4 indicates the number of clicks on your promolinks5. If you compare the number of promoclicks with the number of actual sales, you will get your conversion rate6. Both you as a vendor and your affiliates can share your promolinks to bring new customers to your sales page. This is why the sum of all promoclicks is measured.
Earning per click
The key figure Earning per click shows your average net revenue per click on a promolink. The figure is calculated by dividing your total net revenue by the total number of your promoclicks.
Earning per click
The key figure Cancellation rate gives you the percentage of your previous refunds and chargebacks. It is calculated from the total amount of all canceled orders in relation to the total revenue of the product.
The key figure Digistore24 average displays the cancellation rate of all products sold on Digistore24 as a percentage. This way, you always know whether your cancellation rate is above or below the average, enabling you to draw conclusions about your product quality.
The charts on your dashboard
In addition to the key figures, Digistore24 provides various charts on your dashboard:
In the sales chart, your total net revenue as a vendor and affiliate (in case you’re active as an affiliate) is listed. This is the sum of all initial sales, upsells, subscription and installment payments from your vendor business, as well as commissions from your affiliate business. You can switch between the month view (last 22 days), the weekly view (last 27 weeks) or the annual view by using the tabs. In addition, you can display your sales with a graph.
You can find this chart under the sales chart. Here you will see how much revenue you have generated so far and how much you could get paid on the next possible payout date. You can also switch between the list view and graphical view here.
Top 5 affiliates
This list includes your five most successful affiliates. The affiliates’ names and the gross sales they’ve generated (“gross amount”) are displayed. In addition, you will see the cancellation rates for all generated product sales per affiliate.
Top 5 products
Your most successful products are displayed here. The product name, gross sales (“gross amount”) and the cancellation rate of the respective product are listed one after the other.
As a vendor, the Digistore24 marketplace serves to announce your products to affiliates looking for promotable products. You do not offer your product to the customer on our marketplace – since the marketplace is all about your future affiliates, not your product sales.
Marketplace > My products
Here you will find an overview of all your products already being advertised on the marketplace. If you’ve set up lots of products, you can find them quickly and easily by using the search function.
Marketplace > Edit marketplace entries
Here you can create a new marketplace entry for a product that has already been set up. The marketplace entry is published after getting approval from our team.
Marketplace > All products
Here, on the Digistore24 marketplace, you will find all the products that affiliates have offered to advertise. Compare your products with those of other vendors on Digistore24. If you are active as an affiliate, you can look for promotable products here without having to change the view.
Marketplace > Advertising media
You can make various advertising materials available for your affiliates here, so that they are able to advertise your products effectively. In addition to the required link to your sales page, this also includes email campaigns, banners, blog articles and social media messages.
You can manage the following features of your Digistore24 account under the menu item Account.
Account > Details
Account > Images
Here you should upload all the images you want to use for the individualized order form or for e-ticket templates.
At Digistore24, images aren’t uploaded specifically for the order form of a certain product or for a certain e-ticket. Uploading your images occurs in a separate process. That way, your images are potentially available for all previously set-up or yet-to-be-created products, and you have the option to use the same image for several products, order forms or e-tickets, without having to upload it several times.
Account > Order forms
Here you can create classic or responsive order forms and assign them to specific products later on. Once created, you can use an order form for more than one product. You can even create many order forms and test them against each other to identify the most effective structure and to raise your conversion rate.
Account > Additional input fields
Here you can create additional forms with individual input fields. You can use these to request further information from your customers either on the order form or directly after the purchase. All entries are saved and can be automatically sent via API8 to connected systems, like e.g. Klick-Tipp.
Account > Products
Here you can add new products, view current products, edit product details or delete a product completely.
Account > Upgrades
Here you can create and edit upgrades, so that you can add them to a subscription product as another option for the customer. Through an upgrade, your customers can upgrade their current subscriptions.
You can also create a downgrade (switch from a more expensive subscription to a cheaper one) or create a special member offer for your existing subscription customers (e.g. for special offers).
Account > Download vault
With the download vault, Digistore24 will ensure the secure delivery of your digital product as soon as your customers have purchased your product. To do this, upload your digital product files here and merge them together into one file package. Afterwards, you only have to assign the file package to a product that has been set up. For more flexibility, the same file can become part of numerous file packages without having to be uploaded several times.
Account > Delivery notes
Here you can create delivery notes for products that have been physically delivered like DVDs and books. Once set up, the customer automatically receives a delivery note with your return address by email in case they need to return it. This saves you time and reduces the amount of support requests you receive from your customers regarding refunds.
Account > Content pages
Here you can create content pages. They are pages with content about your business or product, but which purposely don’t have an order link9 integrated into them. Usually, such pages contain an opt-in-form10 instead, with which e.g. customers can register for your email newsletter or for your webinar.
In some cases, affiliates want to lead their customer flow to content pages rather than leading them directly to a sales page. If you use a Digistore24 content page, our system will recognize which affiliate has led your customer to your page and whether a customer bought a product on the vendor’s sales page after visiting the content page. We can do this because of a cookie placed in the customer’s browser, which is valid for 180 days. This enables Digistore24 to allocate the commission to the affiliate.
Content pages must always be assigned to a product and can therefore only be created after the corresponding product has been set up.
Account > Conversion tools
Here you can create additional tools to improve your conversion rate – e.g. smart upgrade, social proof bubble/box or countdown timer.
Account > Affiliates
Here you can manage your partnerships with affiliates. You can accept or reject requests, and view your existing partnerships with affiliates. It is possible to create numerous affiliations at once, without the respective affiliates visiting the marketplace and signing up for a partnership themselves.
Account > Payout account
Here you can add and edit your bank details, set a personal payout threshold, and set the desired payout currency and the payout frequency per month.
Account > Contracts
Here you can see your existing partnerships with other vendors (so-called “joint ventures”) and set up new partnerships. There is a distinction made between partnerships for which you set up the product and those for which other vendors have set up the product.
In addition, you can also set up cross upsells here. After a customer has made a purchase, vendors offer the customer other vendors’ products as upsells. Furthermore, you can adjust the settings for the affiliate referral program11 and the vendor referral program12.
Account > Leads
Here you have the option to activate pay-per-lead contracts. This way, you not only involve your affiliates in sales, but also pay them for generated leads. A lead is an interested person who e.g. has signed up to your email list.
Please note that Digistore24 does not undertake to pay out the sums specified in the contract. You must make this payment personally through your bank account. With Digistore24, you can manage your affiliates, approve leads you’ve won and see statistics for your leads.
Right next to the Account settings you will find the menu item Reports, where you can find various figures and get an overview of your business.
Reports > Transactions
Here you can see all of your transactions. A transaction is a movement of money from one account to another. Transactions are not only revenue from customer sales, such as e.g. subscription or installment payments, single installments from installment purchases, or single purchase payments, but also include expenses in the form of refunds or return debit notes.
Reports > Prepaid sales
Here you can see all payments made by your customers in advance.
Reports > Double purchases
All double purchases are listed here. It’s technically possible (though it’s rare) for a customer to unintentionally buy the same product twice. Thanks to this overview, you’ll be able to react faster and e.g. offer your customer a chargeback.
Reports > Purchases
All product sales that your customers have made on Digistore24 are shown here. Unlike transactions, registrations for subscriptions or installment purchases are shown as individual purchases.
Reports > Your partner’s sales
Here you can see all the sales that your joint venture partners or cross upsell partners have achieved and which ones you have been involved in through a partnership. This overview only includes the sales of products that you didn’t set up yourself.
Reports > Affiliate top list
Here you can see all your affiliates, sorted in terms of their success with customer referrals. At the top of the list is the person that has generated the most sales for you.
Reports > Commissions
Here you can see all the commissions you transfer to your affiliates. No distinction is made between commissions that have just been assigned and those that have already been paid.
Reports > Payouts
Here you can see all the sums of money which have been transferred from your Digistore24 account to your bank account. Your earnings can be higher than the sum of your payouts. This is because only the amounts that have already been transferred are displayed in this overview, and not your total net revenue on Digistore24.
Reports > Deliveries
All the physical products that have already been sent to the customer are listed here. To be more precise, these are dispatch confirmations that your fulfillment partner13 has transmitted to our system via our technical connection.
Reports > E-tickets
Reports > Analytics
This is where we provide a comprehensive overview of all your data as a vendor. Use the search box to look for specific products or to sort your entries e.g. according to revenue or the participating affiliates. Please note that the table is very wide, so you will need to scroll to the right to be able to see further key figures.
Reports > Customer’s feedback
If your customers leave feedback when they cancel orders or stop recurring payments, you can see it here.
Reports > Integrations (IPN)
Here we give you an overview of all IPN notifications that were sent to you or by you via our system. IPN stands for Instant Payment Notification and refers to server-to-server messages between you and e.g. payment processors (such as PayPal). Through IPN, Digistore24 can find out that your customer has just paid for your product via PayPal. You as a vendor will automatically receive a notification when this happens.
Under this menu item you can adjust various Settings for your online business.
Settings > Customers to affiliates
If you want to turn your customers into affiliates, you can change the appropriate settings here. Choose a product for it, confirm the partnership and then send your new affiliates a message. You can also display the ‘Become an affiliate’ link on the Digistore24 order confirmation page and in the order confirmation email.
Settings > Integrations (IPN)
Here you can set up new IPN connections – IPN stands for Instant Payment Notification. For example, you could link your member area directly to Digistore24 with DigiMember so that your customers automatically receive purchased products.
Settings > Order form tracking
In order to measure the success of your sales page, you can set up visitor tracking on your order forms. This enables you to track which and how many visitors visit your order forms and then make a purchase or just come off the form. For example, you could compare the data with the tracking data of your sales page, and thereby be able to draw conclusions about where your order forms have the potential to improve.
Settings > Discount codes
Here you can create discount codes which your customers can use to purchase your products at a lower price. You can see and edit the codes you’ve created.
Settings > E-tickets
Add new locations for your events or create e-ticket templates. Adding locations is necessary to ensure that your customers can see the event location on your order form. This way, your customer can select the right event and purchase the right e-ticket, even if there are several events in different locations. You can use the e-ticket template for numerous events, which saves you time and effort.
Settings > License keys
You have the option to create license key lists so you can assign them to a product in the product details. If you sell a product afterwards, the license key at the top of the list will be delivered to the customer. Note that the customer will not receive a key if the lists are empty and all the keys have already been delivered.
Settings > Refund policy
Here you can set up and edit individual refund policies. You can then assign these refund policies to individual products in the product details. This means you do not have to edit the refund settings for each product, but can use the same policy for numerous products.
Settings > Account access
It is possible to grant your employees access to your Digistore24 account without having to give away your personal Digistore24 login data. Your employees will just need to have their own Digistore24 account so that they can then switch to your account view. They can do this by clicking on the black menu bar – the header menu - via the dropdown menu, which is where they would usually switch between the vendor view and affiliate view.
Settings > Blacklist
You have the option to place individual customers, affiliates and promolink referrers14 on a blacklist or to activate them again. This feature is optional, since Digistore24 also has a blacklist for all customers who have drawn attention to themselves because of regular chargebacks or a high return rate. Use this feature to block affiliates who send you traffic via promolinks that reduce the quality for your visitors.
- Product that is offered in addition to the initial product on the order form
- Add-ons are additional products that complement your main product and are selected before purchase confirmation. They are different to upsell products, which are offered directly after the purchase
- For single payments: A sale is a complete payment transaction
- For installments and subscriptions: A sale is the first (initial) payment not including the following payment(s)
Product that is offered to the customer in the sales process after rejecting an upsell and before the customer gains access to the product they’ve already purchased↩
- A definite click on the Digistore24 promolink. Definite means that only one click is counted per person.
- Clicks done by bots are excluded from the Digistore24 statistics. Clicking on the promolink leads to a sales page. Promoclicks are counted e.g. in order to compare the amount of clicks with the number of actual purchases later on (the so-called conversion).
- Link that directs you to a sales page and contains the product information, as well as the affiliate ID
- For the difference between promolink and contentlink, see also Contentlink.

- A fulfillment partner is a company that is responsible for the packaging and delivery of your physical products
- Digistore24 offers the possibility of technically connecting this partner to our platform. This way, your partner will be informed of the shipping address when a physical product is sold.
- Please note that you must use a fulfillment partner independently. Digistore24 can only offer technical connection, and can’t help with selecting a fulfillment partner or even with delivery.
This function can be used by vendors who want to block domains which should no longer send any traffic. These domains may be platforms, such as MyAdvertisingPays. If an affiliate places an advert (e.g. the affiliate placed promolinks there) on a domain blocked by the vendor, then a customer can’t complete the purchase via this promolink. Otherwise, the vendor could easily deceive his affiliates by simply blocking their domains. The vendor who doesn’t want to pay affiliates who advertise on certain domains has no right to the sale. An error message is displayed to the customer if they try to make a purchase.↩
